George and Alan give their opinion to the experts. When you want to know whether the article made is really worth while, it is best to the customers reaction. To test the toy users, it's the children whose words really matter. That's why George Moore 7 years old of Trinity Church Square, South London, and 6 years old Alan Foot also of Southwark, and pupils of Charles Dickens school, were invited to a large toy factory to give their opinion on the new toys. They were measured into the seats of rocking horses, tricycles, and motor cars, and in general, the boys were delighted. They had a gathering of experts around them, asking them questions. But all the boys wanted was to try the actually working windscreen wiper of the motor cars, or the well equipped police car with all the outside equipment. The bell, the horns, the lamps, and the windscreen wipers, gear lever, and radio aerial. That went down very well with George, who gave the opinion as "Smashing". After a tour of the toys, the boys asked "Can we come back next year?" Here is George Moore at the wheel of the super new police car, giving his opinion. November 1954 P004899
