Jean-Paul Dumas-Grillet is a photographer, videographer, screenwriter and critic. His work is essentially based on composition, forms, light which enters and abstraction. When his professional path crosses the cinema in 1995, he will work with the same obsession with the abstract: to tell a story through what we can't see. Through a glance, an attitude, his aesthetics of photography questions and pushes the spectator to imagine the story that emerges out of the scene. He has worked on many films directed by Agnès Jaoui (Le Goût des autres, Comme une image, Parlez-moi de la pluie) and on other films such as L'appartement, Les fantômes de Louba, Les Bottes, etc. He currently lives and works in Germany.
