Caroline Chisholm (born Jones - (1808-1877). Born at Wootton, Northamptonshire, England. Campaigned for improvement of conditions for female emigrants to Australia and for family emigration. Here addressing crowd from emigrant ship "Ballengeich" before it departed from Southampton. August 1852.
