Jenny Lind (1820-87) soprano known as the 'Swedish Nightingale', 1848. Lind in the title role of Donizetti's opera "Lucia di Lammermoor" based on the novel "The Bride of Lammermoor" by Walter Scott. This is the final scene where Lucia goes mad: Her Majesty's Theatre, London, 1848. The premier was at Naples in 1835, and the first London performance was in 1838.
