Transport: 'St Austell', 1860. Cornwall Railway, later Great Western Railway (GWR) at St Austell, showing one of Isambard Kingdom Brunel's (1806-1859) timber viaducts. Built from Kyanzed yellow Baltic pine from Memel, the timberwork had a life of 30 years. Illustration by RT Pentreath for "Views of Devonshire and Cornwall" by Henry Besley. (Exeter c1860).
