Hester Lynch Thrale (born Hester Lynch Salusbury 1741-1821) British diarist and author. Friend of many literary figures of the day, particularly of Dr Johnson. After the death of her husband Henry Thrale, in 1784 she married Gabriel Piozzi, an Italian dancing master. Engraving after the portrait by Joshua Reynolds.
