Dish: Adam and Eve Probably Bristol or Brislington, c1720-30. This scene is thought to have been copied from a print by Pierre Lombart c1613-1682 who worked in London. The plate was fired face upwards and supported by pegs under the rim which projected out from the walls of the clay container in which the pieces were placed for firing.
