Characters and Caricaturas by William Hogarth (1697 – 1764). English painter, printmaker, pictorial satirist. Characters and Caricaturas is an engraving by English artist William Hogarth, that he produced as the subscription ticket for his 1743 series of prints, Marriage à-la-mode, and which was eventually issued as a print in its own right. the heads of three figures from Raphael's Cartoons are introduced under the article Character, in opposition to the fantastic Caricatures of Cavalier Chezzi, Annibal Characci, and Leonardo Da Vinci
