The gold moon by Joseph Pennell 1857-1926, artist. Published: [between ca. 1901 and 1908] Italy, Venice. As described in Wuerth, 'View from the Redentore, foreground heavily shaded, on opposite shore the Salute and other buildings in heavy Gray mass against a brilliant rose and gold sunset sky and to the right a gold crescent moon. Colours, black, blue-Gray, rose, yellow, cream, Gray and orange, on bluish Gray paper.'
