Instruments for Mecca and for mosques. All Muslims should pray towards Mecca and the small instrument is designed to give the right direction. The upper half of the visible face is a map showing town names in Arabic. Because Mecca is at the centre of the map, the instrument indicates the correct direction of prayer for those towns.
