Line drawing of a fresco from Torcello. It is divided into five levels. The first: Christ releases Adam from Limbo. Second: Christ in majesty between the Virgin and John the Baptist. Third: the Book of Life with Adam and Eve kneeling in adoration. Fourth: the weighing of souls, with the elect on one side, the dammed on the other. Fifth: Heaven with the souls in Abraham's bosom, and Hell, with the souls roasted in a stream of fire which issues from below Christ's feet. Dated 14th Century
