Belgian fishing. Fishing has a fascination for landsman and the beauty of the coastal waters of Flanders in the hundreds of brown-sailed smacks, which dot the shallow sea. Half the fishing trade of Belgium is carried by Ostend's large fleet of several hundred boats.
