Chorten, stupa, dedicated to Sir Edmund Hillary, who, together with Tenzing Norgay Sherpa, was the first to reach the summit of Mount Everest, also known as Sagarmatha, Chomolungma. Hillary is much respected in Khumbu Region for the charity work he was involved in for the benefit of local people. Lhotse, with its famous South Face is on the left-hand-side, Ama Dablam on the right, Shartse is in the middle and the Dudh Koshi river is below. Khumjung, Sagarmatha Natinal Park, Everest Region.
