Denver, Colorado, Sharletta Evans hammers on a gun barrel during a gun buyback event co-sponsored by the City of Denver. Evans lost her son to gun violence. A nonprofit organization, RAWTools, will take the 189 firearms collected at this event and melt them down to create garden tools. RAWTools is inspired by the Biblical injunction to beat swords into plowshares.
