Oakley, Kansas, Little Jerusalem Badlands State Park preserves the largest Niobrara chalk formation in Kansas. The park is a joint project of The Nature Conservancy and the state of Kansas. It is known as Little Jerusalem or New Jerusalem because some thought it resembled the ancient walled city of Jerusalem
