Region Altmark in Saxony-Anhalt, Region Altmark, Deutschla, A drone with a thermal imaging camera is used to track fawns in the morning between 4 and 7 am on meadows that are to be mown during the day. The fawns usually do not run away and are secured with baskets in the field, around which mowing can then take place. After mowing, the fawns are carried to the sheltered meadow edges where the doe can find them again. On average, 1 fawn is thus saved from death for every 10 hectares of hay harvested. Place
