Thomas Picton (1758-1815), English soldier. In the campaign around the Iberian Peninsula he commanded the Fighting Division in Spain (1810) and distinguished himself at Busaco, Fuentes de Onoro, Badajoz and Vittoria. He was seriously wounded at Quatre Bras and died while leading his men in the attack at Waterloo.
