Marie Chamand, Comtesse de Lavalette (1781-1855), woman of the Comte de Lavalette, French politician and Napoleonic general, and niece of Josephine Beauharnais. In 1815, she saved her man's life by swapping clothes with him, thus enabling him to escape from prison shortly in front of he was to be executed as part of the second Bourbon Restoration.
