Rachel, Lady Russell (1636-1723), née Rachel Wriothesley, woman of William, Lord Russell 'the Patriot', English Whig statesman. She acted as her man's 'clerk' during his trial for complicity in the Rye House Plot in 1683, when Russell was found guilty of high treason and beheaded.
