The sanatoriums in Bad Reiboldsgrün and the settlements of Albertsberg and Carolagrün to the east of it, also located in the middle of the Erzgebirge-Vogtland forests, formed an important centre for the healing of people with lung disease, especially tuberculosis, in Saxony until the 1960s
