The old Dresden-Teplitz post road runs through Börnersdorf, coming from the Elbe valley via Wingendorf and continuing in the direction of Fürstenwalde. Börnersdorf also became famous through the Hitler diaries affair and the government plane that crashed there in the very last days of the war
