The bus station was built as an experimental building by the Deutsche Bauakademie. The bus station had 12 bus platforms, a 60-metre-long arrival platform and a cantilevered waiting hall that housed ticket counters, telephone booths, luggage machines and vending stands. Opening 1966-1968
