The Altenberger Pinge is a pinge in Altenberg in the Osterzgebirge that was created by tin mining. The main quarry occurred in 1620. At the beginning of the 19th century, the pinge had an area of only about 2.5 hectares. From around 1976 in particular, it was considerably expanded through intensive ore mining
