The Forest Botanical Garden Tharandt is an institution of the Technical University of Dresden and at the same time the Saxon State Arboretum. It houses single-trunk trees and has been greatly expanded since 1997 to include North American forest formations. Especially in autumn, the maple varieties shine like in a real Indian summer
