Detroit, Michigan, An experimental, autonomous robot travels the streets of Detroit's Corktown neighborhood, picking up food waste which it delivers to an urban farm for composting. Nelson Sanders brings out his bucket of food waste after the robot arrives at his house. The robot is operated by a nonprofit called Scrap Soils. It hopes the robot will increase interest in composting while reducing the greenhouse gases required by using a truck for the pickups
