Caption

Golden, Colorado, Footprints of dinosaurs and traces of other animals and plants from the Late Cretaceous period are found along the Triceratops Trail in this former clay mine. The fossils were revealed on the hard sandstone fins after clay was removed between them. Visitors can explore the fossils or play golf at the Fossil Trace Golf Club. A dragline from the mining days remains atop one of the sandstone fins
