The Karl May Festival has been held every year since 1991 on a weekend in May in the Lössnitzgrund Radebeul in memory of the writer Karl May. Around 30, 000 guests come to the festival every year. The Landesbühnen Sachsen present excerpts from their current play Winnetou and Old Shatterhand
