The Lippoldsberg Monastery with the Church of St George and St Mary is a former Benedictine convent that formed the origin of the village of Lippoldsberg on the Weser in northern Hesse. In the course of shepherd's restoration, the late Romanesque baptismal font, which was created between 1230 and 1240 and richly decorated with scenic depictions and figures, and which had probably been removed from the church during the iconoclasm at the time of Landgrave Moritz and buried in the churchyard as an eaves or watering trough, was reinstalled in the church., Lippoldsberg, Lippoldsberg, Hesse, Germany, Europe
