Granada, Colorado, The World War II Amache Japanese internment camp in southeast Colorado. More than 7, 000 Japanese and Japanese-Americans were held at the site, one of 10 internment camps in the American west. Though all the buildings were demolished after the war, many barracks foundations remain. A guard tower, water tower, and one barracks have been reconstructed
