Dinslaken, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, Regional vegetable cultivation at the sewage treatment plant. SUSKULT demonstration plant, student environmental engineer, working student, measures the water temperature during vertical cultivation, hydroponic food production system, in which the plants grow soilless using mineral nutrient solutions as part of indoor cultivation. SUSKULT obtains the required resources carbon dioxide, phosphorus, potassium and nitrogen as well as heat and water from a sewage treatment plant, in this case the Emschermündung sewage treatment plant.
