Czech Rep Lázne Kynzvart/Königswart Metternich Castle View of the main wing. The first castle, built in 1623, soon fell into disrepair. Count Philipp Emmerich rebuilt the dilapidated castle into a Baroque palace from 1681 - 1691 and the Austrian chancellor W. L. Metternich had it remodelled into an Empire palace by the master builder Pietro de Nobile from 1821 - 1836
