With cyclist in the fog. Karl Meseberg, chief sailor and communist, drove the November Revolution in Halle from November 1918 with a 270-strong company of sailors. He was captured by the Halle Freikorps on 13 March 1919. During his escape, he was shot and seriously injured and thrown into the Saale at the harbour railway bridge, where he drowned
