"Navirland" series: "Le Navi" (Aquarium of Cattolica), built in1933-1934 by the architect Clemente Busiri Vici for the Foundation 'Figli del Littorio', in Cattolica, Italy.
Since 1999, this former holiday centre has been transformed into the "Acquario di Cattolica" aquarium and water park. Here photographed in the 1980s-1990s

Photographic series on "boat-shaped houses", started in 1986-87. It's a long-term project that displays many of the characteristics of Cuchi White's singular vision: a powerful imagination, a poetic vision, and her obsession with everything that "deceives the eye", what she also calls "simulacra".
