Stitching with gilded silver pearls sewn onto green silk-velvet (14.2 x 8.7 cm)
It is accompanied by Bonaparte's lead pencil that is kept down the side of the book.
It used to have a connector on the edge of the cover which has since disappeared.
Based on its design, the notebook is linked to Joseph Bonaparte's time in Italy.
