A very important industrial center and symbolic city of Nazism, Nuremberg was subjected to its first air raid (led by the RAF Bomber Command) in August 1942.
This was followed by many others. But during the night of March 30-31, 1944, the bomber Command suffered the biggest losses of the war there: 95 bombers were destroyed.
