The German battleship "Bismarck" photographed from the bridge of the German heavy cruiser "Prinz Eugen".
Sailing from the Polish port of Gdynia, on May 18, 1941, accompanied by the heavy cruiser "Prinz Eugen", the "Bismarck" encountered, on May 24, the British battleships "HMS Prince of Wales" and "HMS Hood".
It sank the "Hood", but was in turn sunk on May 27, 1941.
