Atlantic Wall: observatory, base of operatins and batteries of 105- and 170-mm guns, on the La Pernelle peak. With an altitude of 123 m, this is the highest point in the region and affords a broad view as far as Barfleur, the Gatteville light, St-Vaast-la-Hougue and the island of Tatihou, Les Veys Bay and the beaches of Calvados.
