The upper part of the Space Shuttle Vehicle, composed of the Orbiter Columbia, the external Tank and two solid rocket service structure. Extending from steel service structure to the orbiter cockpit and nose of the External tank are the Cew Access Arm and the external Tank gaseous Oxygen Vent Arm, with its "beanie cap" shield which prevent ice from forming on the tank's surface due to liquid oxigen venting, in place.
