Ferrara, the Castello Estense (the Estense Castle), also known as Castle of St. Michael: detail of the ceiling of the Chamber of Dawn: "Dawn" with the chariot of the Sun, by Bastianino. The Chamber, former Ercole II's private room, was known in 1600 as the mirror chamber. It gives the name to the whole representation apartment that Alfonso II wanted.
