Montefalco, Museum of St. Francis, Church of St. Francis, Chapel of St. Bernardino of Siena: "Stories of S. Bernardino and Saints", frescoes by Jacopo Vincioli of Spoleto (Gozzolese expressionist). 1461. In the rib vault, St. Jerome with the lion (one of the Doctors of the Church). At the centre, Crucifixion of Christ with the Virgin Mary, St. Fortunatus and St. John. In the lower centre, S. Bernardino of Siena; on his left the Saint, accompanied by two brothers, meets Pope Celestino V. On his right, the saint heals a man and a woman.
