Pierre de Hondt-Saint, known as Pierre Canisius (Nijmegen 1521. College of Fribourg 1597). Fought ardently against the Protestants in Germany. He wrote a Summa Doctrinoe Chritianoe. Canonised in 1925 and proclaimed Doctor of the Church.
