(16th. 19th). View of the castle of Saint-Cloud during the first Empire. Henri II was assassinated there; Philippe d'Orléans, brother of Louis XIV, had the castle rebuilt. Napoleon was proclaimed Emperor here and on 28 January 1871, the Germans burnt it down.
