Caption
Louis XIII (27th September 1601, Fontainebleu 14th May 1643, Saint-Germain-en-Laye), King of France and Navarra (1610-1643). He is the son of Henry IV and Mary of Médicis. His reign is notable for the debasements of those of high-ranking positions and the Protestants, as well as for the battle against the Habsbourgs. The image of this King is inseperable from that of his main minister, Cardinal Richelieu, whose unwavering support aided the recovery of the french Monarchy.
