Institut de France in Paris. The Institut de France (French Institute) was built on the 25th October 1795. It is made up of five academies : the Académie Française (French Academy), founded in 1635; the Académie des Inscriptions et Belles-lettres (Academy of Humanities), founded in 1663; the Académie des Sciences (Academy of Sciences), founded in 1666; the Académie des Beaux-Arts (Academy of Fine Arts), founded in 1816 and the Académie des Sciences Morales et Politiques (Academy of Moral and Political Sciences), founded in 1795.
