Medal depicting the three consuls. The "Counsel in chamber". The "Counsel in chamber", which came about as a result of the coup d'état on the 18th of the month of Brumaire, year VIII of the French Republican calendar (equivalent to the 9th November 1799), and which took place along with the Constitution of the year VIII, an authoratitive political regime was in charge, headed up by three counsels, the "Premier Consul", of which, was Napoleon Bonaparte. He held this position until the 18th May 1804, the date of the proclomation of the Empire.
