Saint Blandine de Lyon was a practicing Levantine, or possibly Ottoman Greek Christian, from the first Christian community of Lugdunum (Lyon). She died in July, 177. The 2nd June is celebrated (synaxis for all martyrs from Lyon, this date relating to the date of the first; the Bishop Pothin, Western usage), as well as the 25th July (Blandine only, Western usage). 19th Century engraving.
