The battle of Cocherel, which took place on the 16th May 1364 between the forces of Charles V of France, whose army was commanded by Bertrand of Guesclin and Charles II of Navarre, whose troops were under the orders of Captal de Buch (Jean de Grailly), as well as the english archers under Blancbourg and Joüel and "routiers", such as Arnaud-Amanieu d'Albret. 19th Century engraving.
