On May 7, 1919, in the gallery of the Trianon-Palace in Versailles, behind the glass door giving access to the meeting room of the Peace Conference, where German plenipotentiaries were given the Allies' conditions of peace. It was through one of the windows of this gate that the instant photograph of the German plenipotentiaries was taken in front of the Allies.
