After the death of Alexandre Stavisky on January 9, 1934, the French Prime Minister Edouard Daladier presents a new government on February 6, 1934.
On the same day, the Croix-de-Feu leagues protest place de la Concorde in Paris with Communist groups. The policemen will shot at the crowd, killing 20 persons.
This will lead to the creation of the Popular Front in response to the exasperation against the parliamentary government.
