Title
Windshield in laminated glass, 1919
Caption
The laminated glass was patented August 10, 1909. Used for car windshields, it saved the life of Clemenceau during a shooting in February 1919: The bullet cracked the windshield of the car but because it was absorbed and deflected by the laminated glass, it did not reach the Statesman.
